Privacy Policy: Midas Media Accounting Connector

The Midas Media Accounting Connector ("the Connector") is a private, internal tool operated by Midas Media Ltd. It connects Midas Media Ltd.'s and Midas Inc.'s own QuickBooks Online company files to our own bookkeeping system. It is not offered to the public or to any other business.

What the Connector accesses

With the authorization of the company's QuickBooks Online administrator, the Connector reads and writes accounting data in our own QuickBooks Online company files: vendors, expense transactions, accounts, classes, tax codes and attachments (receipt images and PDFs).

How the data is used

The data is used only to record our own business expenses in QuickBooks Online and to keep our receipts matched to those records. Every transaction is reviewed and approved by the business owner before it is created.

Where the data is stored

The Connector and the receipts it works with run on a server owned and controlled by Midas Media Ltd., accessible only over a private network. Access credentials are stored encrypted. Encrypted backups are kept with Backblaze B2 in Canada.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share QuickBooks data with anyone. Data may be shared with our own accountant for bookkeeping and tax purposes, or where required by law. No QuickBooks data is sent to third-party artificial-intelligence services or used to train any model.

Retention

Financial records are kept for six years, as required by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Disconnecting

The QuickBooks Online administrator can disconnect the Connector at any time from QuickBooks Online (Settings, then Apps, then Connected apps) or by contacting us.
